  1. 1 cube butter or margarine
  2. 1/2 cup white sugar
  3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  4. 1 large egg
  5. 1/3 cup peanut butter, or sun butter, or cashew butter
  6. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  7. 1 cup Sun Flour Mills Whole Grain All Purpose Flour
  8. 1 cup rolled gluten free oats
  9. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  10. 1/4 tsp salt
  11. 1 cup chocolate chips
For frosting
  1. 1/4 cup peanut butter
  2. 1 cup powdered sugar
  3. 3 Tbsp milk or vanilla rice milk
  4. Optional: nuts
  1. Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar
  2. Add egg, peanut butter choice, and vanilla extract
  3. Sift together and then add Sun Flour Mills Whole Grain Flour, oats, baking soda, and salt
  4. Spread mixture into 9x13 pan
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
  6. Immediately upon removing from oven, sprinkle with chocolate chips
  7. Cover with aluminum foil for 10 minutes until chocolate chips are melted
  8. Smooth with spatula
  9. Mix ingredients for frosting on low speed with hand mixer until smooth
  10. Spread frosting over chocolate
  11. If desired top with nuts
  1. Can omit chocolate chips and frosting
  2. Top bars with nuts
