Total Time 1 hour hr 25 minutes mins
- 1/3 cup + 2 TBSP warm water
- 1 TBSP honey
- 3/4 tsp yeast
- 1 ⅛ cup Sun Flour Mills Rolls & Sandwich Bread Mix
- 1 flax egg (1 TBSP ground flaxseed + 2 ½ TBSP water)
- 1 ½ TBSP oil
- ¼ tsp apple cider vinegar
Make the Dough
ADD the flax egg, oil, and vinegar to the yeast mixture and whisk to combine.
ADD the Rolls & Sandwich Bread Mix and blend with a mixer for 2 minutes.
GREASE a baking sheet with non-stick spray. Using wet hands shape ¼ of the dough into a patty shape. Continue until you have 4 patties of dough. Place on baking sheet and use damp hands to shape/smooth the buns. *You can add sesame seeds here - if you would like sesame buns.
RISE uncovered in a warm place for 1 hour.
PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes, or until golden on top. Let cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
This recipe can be used with an egg in place of the flax egg.
These buns are excellent toasted.
